First Impressions
Atmosphere. Your typical beach dive with a porch, which would be great for summer nights! The feeling of the PIT was like you're at home, as if you could go in there barefoot and enjoy anything from burgers to pizza. Most nights the PIT is full of tunes from a wide variety of local artists. There is a bar in the middle of the restaurant that includes an okay selection of draft beers.
Service. The service was mediocre, leaving something to be desired.
Pizza. The pizza on the other hand did not leave anything to be desired. The pizza featured in the photograph is a large House Special, which includes mostly all of their toppings on the menu. The proportion was your typical large pizza, with the actual pieces being cut in a smaller size than normal. The crust was crunchy and soft, just right. The bottom crust was thin, while the edge crust was thicker, but not too thick. The sauce was just sauce, therefore, it didn't add or take anything away to the flavor. The cheese seemed to be a mozzarella and provolone mix. The overall presentation of the pizza was fairly typical, served on a silver platter, if you will. The sprinkled, brown, crispy cheese on the crust edges really added a nice feature and a lovely taste when chowing down the crust.

Overall Rating - Enjoyable food, low key atmosphere, and good live music. Recommended for a casual night out at the beach!
